Pongsapat linked to building mess

DEMOCRATS BLAME BANGKOK GOVERNOR RIVAL FOR UNBUILT POLICE STATIONS

The Democrat Party has accused former deputy national police chief Pongsapat Pongcharoen of involvement in the police station contract fiasco.

At the same time, Democrat spokesman Chavanond Intarakomalyasut blamed the Pheu Thai government for allowing a situation to develop in which hundreds of police stations remain unbuilt.

With three weeks to go before the election for Bangkok governor, Mr Chavanond said Pheu Thai candidate Pol Gen Pongsapat endorsed the terms of reference for the construction of the stations in 2009.

A recent Dem Bangkok governor (sorry I forgot his name) lost is job because he only signed a contract and nothing else. This was to do with the fire trucks scandal.

I expect that individuals are so busy arranging their own cut they don't bother to read the remainder of the contract. All parties are the same.

hangover - "That is all the democrats can do -- always blame others and praise themselves."

Thought you were describing PTP at first, then I noticed you said Democrats. Can you give some examples of PTP objectively criticizing their own actions, policies or key figures? Thought not.

Thailand is in dire need of sending all those involved in awarding contracts to a course in Contract Management 101. Unfortunately even knowing the basic rules it seems there are no competent persons available to manage the awarded contracts.

Not a surprise....do we really think police officers in Thailand are all good honest incorruptible model citizens?

Reds good, Dems no good ... blah, blah, blah.

Oops. "He said Pol Gen Pongsapat endorsed the terms of reference for the construction in 2009 when the Democrats were in government."

"With three weeks to go before the election for Bangkok governor, Mr Chavanond said Pheu Thai candidate Pol Gen Pongsapat endorsed the terms of reference for the construction of the stations in 2009." - Is it an attempt to link the case to the Governor election? Certainly, my opinion is that Pol Gen Pongsapat would be happy to assist the investigation. However, to assist the investigation at this stage of the governor election campaign, he must be given an assurance that whatever he said is not meant to discredit or smear anyone.

That is all the democrats can do -- always blame others and praise themselves. It's all too familiar action by this oldest political party to do since the movie house incident in 1946.

As mentioned in the recently, the DEM made just another unwise move. The move of the DEM can be easily interpreted into "we the DEM are bad, but you are not good either". The move makes the DEM look very desperate and self-defeating.
