Loan bill to be proposed before April

The government will propose its draft two trillion baht loan acquiring bill to parliament for consideration within this month, Finance Minister Kittiratt Na-Ranong said on Saturday.

On the “Yingluck Government Meets the People” weekly programme on NBT, Mr Kittiratt said the loan will be for financing the government’s infrastructure development megaprojects, particularly the development of transportation and logistics systems, over the next seven and a half years.

    With the narrow gauge system inplace and only single rails in most places the average speed of the existing rail system is +- 60 km/hour. If Thailand lay double tracks the average speed will increase to +- 80 km/hour. If Thailand choose to lay normal wide gauge double tracks (like Malaysia, Singapore, US, UK, China and Europe)the average speed will increase to +- 100 km/hour. With the high speed train it will increase to 200 km+ and the system will be intergrated with the Malaysian and Lao systems. You can flog a donkey to death but you can't make it a race horse.

    More debt that I will have to pay for and PT members can skim off .We dont a fashion high speed train to one location .We need a reliable normal speed train with normal gauge track that reaches ports as well as the rest of the country .Disgusting .
