Thai people don't put salt in their food. The salty taste comes from fish sauce and soy sauce. Health Ministry should warn people to cut back on fish and soy sauce. Deep fried food is even worse. MSG too.

the real reason so many Thais have kidney problems is that they do not drink enough water.

And MSG is NOT heavily used in everything, I know of some women who do not even have it in their kitchen, however fish sauce is another story.

Good stuff from the Health Ministry, for a start. They could/should also campaign against deep-frying in palm oil, it's very bad for liver and pancreas, also for intestines. And what to say about the consequences of MSG, that is served in nearly all food and drinks? And packing warm food in plastic bags or foam containers? And the colouring, and, and... But they might get in trouble with all the local food industry, from ultra large to very small, can't be, so go on poisoning the population...
