The first thing to do is to stop the everyday showing of Thai violent movies involving guns and swords etc. There soap operas are all violent everyday. And parents must teach thier children wrights and wrongs.as well as manners and respect for your elders, something very rarely seen anymore.

They saw it on TV supported by the leaders of this country. Fight, burn the city down until you get what you want. Ok, perhaps Thais should stop with their soap operas, evil girl hits good girl, evil girl steal husband. Or perhaps they need to start cleaning up the police force so the society will start to follow the laws for once.

"Parents, teachers and other members of the community must take more responsibility"

Responsibility and accountability are rare species, hopefully not extinct. D3; very true

Many developed nations also have teen violence, often in the form of gangs, some extremely violent and well organized also. Thai inability to organize at least is a mitigating factor. I don't see much if anything on mainstream TV to promulgate intellectual development, integrity or morality.

Can see plenty of gore and violence every night on Thai TV,repeated over several days, then again every few months. Can drive like a speed-demon without concern for others. Can pay money to get out of doing wrong, failing that, can skip bail.

This doctor speaks a lot of sense, but I doubt that anyone will take any notice. The authorities could make a start by stopping the violence shown every night on tv. Despite the tourist slogan claiming that Thailand is a land of smiles, violence often of a particularly vicious nature is often just below the surface.

STOP SHOWING IT ON TV why will these people not listen. It has been proved beyond doubt that children emulate what they see on TV and still nothing is done to stop the violence being shown at prime time.
I cannot believe how ill informed these so called experts are,or could it be they are in someone's pocket so it is not in there interests to stop it.May be that is the reason.
