The good general was only thinking aloud about this incident and as expected of any army chiefs, his message was nothing surprising, to say the least. Since we are now living in a so called ‘United Democracy Against Dictatorship’ era, the good general should be accorded his rights to express his opinion, without any undue influences or duress. Anyway he’s got no direct authority to ‘shut-down’ this TV program because this is the purview of the government ministry. The Army Chief is still one of the missing pieces in TS jigsaw puzzle.

Mr Prayuth is becoming quite vocal in his new role of uniformed politician.

Perhaps he should stand against the convicted fugitives other sister for the upcoming prime minister vacancy.

Thai people are grown up adults and they don't need any military generals to tell them what is appropriate for them to watch or not. There is nothing wrong in debating any kind of subject as long as it's done in a civilized and polite manner. Moreover, this debate is inevitable to go over the yellow / red polarization in this country. Ironically this mess was arguably created Gen Prayuth and his friends who stepped over the fragile democratic principles of our constitution with the 2006 coup.

The general cannot be silenced - all available duct tape used up
on Chalerm. The general also said the govt. should stop listening to
Thaksin . Someone should tap him on the shoulder and whisper in his
ear, that the govt. is run by Pm Yingluck who is Thakin's sister.

What a shame we have people like him in charge, who think like that.

Amazing the last sentence! What kind of law can forbide to "think"?

He speaks for the commander in chief, the PM of course.

Indeed, many of those words Prayuth said in the past few years, either in the capacity of the army chief, someone's spokesman, or as a normal citizen, might not be illegal, but very inappropriate for sure. It would have been much better for some people to shut up long time ago, unless his or her words were truly for the benefits of all the Thai people.
