YALA - Authorities are not ruling out the involvement of officials in the bombing that killed the deputy governor of Yala and an assistant on Friday.

Pol Col Charoen Thammakhan, chief of the Bannang Sata district police force, said one theory was that some officials could have alerted the attackers.
