PRESS FREEDOM DAY
Media networks have issued a statement calling for greater press independence and freedom of expression.
The Thai Journalists Association (TJA) and the Thai Broadcast Journalists Association released the joint statement yesterday to mark "World Press Freedom Day".
The groups said that freedom of expression by people and the press must be protected to prevent threats or intimidation tactics impeding media independence.
