A human body has been found on the beach at Kradan island in Trang province, according to the police.
Pol Capt Montri Chaiyamol, a case officer at the Kan Trang police station, said the body was believed to be that of a Thai male approximately 165cm tall and weighing around 65 kilogrammes. He was wearing only shorts with a blue flower pattern, while only bones remained of his upper body. The police suspect that he had been dead for at least 15 days.
Officers suspect that he may have been a tourist who ventured out into the water around nearby islands but drowned. He may have gone fishing alone and accidentally fallen into the water.
