Sukumpol supports border fence

Defence Minister Sukumpol Suwanatat agrees with army chief Prayuth Chan-ocha's idea a fence should be built along the southern border to prevent separatist bandits crossing back and forth into Malaysia. 

He said the border fence was raised for discussion during a working dinner with Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on May 26.

The idea is viable, but would be costly, ACM Sukumpol said.
