B10bn drugs bonfire in Ayutthaya

AYUTTHAYA - A total of 3.3 tonnes of seized illicit drugs, valued at more than 10 billion baht, were incinerated on Wednesday morning after the court cases involved reached their final verdicts.

The drugs were transported by helicopters to the utility and environment administration centre in Bang Pa-In Industrial Estate from warehouses under the supervision of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
