Joint patrols, drug blitz top talks agenda

Joint operations to suppress illicit drugs, swift exchanges of information, and a plan to bolster joint patrols along the Mekong River topped the agenda during the 20th Thai-Lao General Border Committee (GBC) meeting in Vientiane yesterday. 

The Thai delegation was led by Deputy Defence Minister Yuthasak Sasiprapa, who represented Prime Minister and Defence Minister Yingluck Shinawatra at the GBC meeting.
