TAK : The body of a Thai national was found in a creek on Sunday after he was shot while trying to flee from soldiers who approached him for a check near the Thai-Myanmar border on Tuesday.

The body of Suphamit Kesini, 25, was discovered in Wa Le creek near Ban Wa Le Nuea in Tak's Phop Phra district, which borders Myanmar.

On Tuesday, the man, together with a Karen friend, left Ban Wa Le Nuea and crossed the village bridge on their way to Myanmar. The two later returned and were spotted by Thai soldiers stationed at the Thai-Myanmar border.
