One year after being dropped from the cabinet, former deputy prime minister MR Pridiyathorn Devakula has declared 1.33 billion baht in assets over liabilities, making him the richest of the former ministers of the first cabinet of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.

MR Pridiyathorn was among the 19 ministers who declared their assets and liabilities to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) on Aug 18, one year after they lost their cabinet posts in the Prayut 1 government. The declaration is required by law.

Some of them, however, were re-appointed to different portfolios in the reshuffled cabinet.

According to a report released by the NACC today, MR Pridiyathorn had 1.33 billion baht worth in assets, about 38 million baht less than the 1.378 billion baht he declared on assuming the cabinet post.

Former agriculture minister Pitipong Phuengboon Na Ayudhaya had 1.072 billion baht in assets, about 242 million baht more than the 830 million baht declared earlier.

Apiradi Tantraporn, a former deputy commerce minister, had 34 million baht worth of assets, about 5 million baht more, without liabilities.

Adm Narong Pipatanasai, a former education minister, declared 12 million baht worth of assets without debt.

The NACC also revealed the assets and liabilities of Uttama Savanayana, who resigned early last month as information and communication technology minister.

On taking the position on Aug 23, 2015, Mr Uttama had 168 million baht worth of assets over liabilities.  On his resignation last month, he had 207 million baht, or 38.4 million baht more.
