Fugitive former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra plans to visit Singapore this weekend, his legal adviser Noppadon Pattama said on Thursday.
Mr Noppadon said Thaksin, who is currently in Italy, has been invited by Formula One organisers to watch the Singapore race.
He said Thaksin will remain in the island state from Sept 22 to 24.
“All first class tickets to Singapore are fully booked. I’m not sure if it's businessmen or politicians flying in for the race or to meet with Thaksin. But it is normal that people want to meet him,” he said.
