Jirayu: Sudarat ready to run in Bangkok election

With backing from Pheu Thai's Bangkok MPs, Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan has emerged as a strong candidate in the coming election for Bangkok governor, her second bid for the post.

Deputy Pheu Thai spokesman Jirayu Huangsap on Monday confirmed her readiness to represent the senior government party in the polls set for Feb 17.

"Khunying Sudarat is ready,'' he said. It is the first time that her backers have made clear her decision to run for the capital city's leadership.

If the Democrats don't endorse Sukhumbhand and he runs as an independent he will split the Democrat vote and someone else will get in for sure.

Its funny that PT cant find anyone willing to flush their career down the drain to lose the governor race .They just expect to field a girl and do the same as with Yingluck .People in Bangkok don't like PT because they milk taxpayers like cows to fund their populist handouts .It isnt like she would actually lead anyway .

"Khunying Sudarat's strengths are solid support from Pheu Thai MPs and city and district councillors in the capital."

And the other PT candidate is Plodprasop, of tug boat fame. The PT has hit rock bottom and is digging franticly...

Bangkok will remain Dem. territory. The idea of one party runs Govt. another one runs BKK is checks and balances. I'm not ready to vote in both elections to the same party.
