The United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) is set to hold small rallies in six provinces as an overture to a major rally to be held nationwide later, former UDD chair Tida Thawornseth announced at a press conference at the Lat Phrao Imperial Department Store on Wednesday.
Ms Tida said the first small rally would be held in Roi Et province on April 26, followed by another in Chaiyaphum on April 27, in Phichit on April 28, in Uttaradit on April 29, in Lop Buri on April 30, and in Suphan Buri on May 1.
UDD members in nearby provinces were invited to join the rallies.
Ms Tida said the UDD's short-term objective is to push for an election, which it ses as the way out of the current conflict in the country.
