The police will seek arrest warrants from the Criminal Court for two men suspected of killing a renowned red-shirt poet in Bangkok's Lat Phrao district on Wednesday.

Pol Col Thanawat Wattanakul, the Chok Chai police chief, said on Sunday that officers were able to identify the suspects from footage from closed-circuit television cameras at the scene of the murder of Kamol Duangphasuk — known by the pseudonym Mai Nueng Kor Kunthee.
He said investigators will continue to gather evidence and question witnesses in connection with the murder.
Mai Nueng was gunned down in broad daylight in the car park of Khrok Mai Thai Lao restaurant in Soi Lat Pla Khao 24 on Wednesday.
