A majority of people believe the election tentatively scheduled to be held on July 20 will not run smoothly, according to an opinion poll conducted by the National Institute of Development Administration (Nida).
The poll was carried out between May 2-3 on 1,252 people of various levels of eduction and professions to take their opinions on the election to be held on July 20 and the country's reforms.
Asked if they thought the election would be carried out smoothly, the majority or 62.94% said they did not think so; 24.76% thought it would; and 12.30% said they were uncertain.
Asked what should come first between reforms and the election, most of the respondents, 49.68%, said reforms should get the priority; 38.02% favoured the election; 6.07% said they could be carried out simultaneously; and 6.23% were uncertain.
