A red-shirt leader in Lampang said on Thursday he will pay one million baht to the police Arintharat Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit if they arrest anti-government protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban.
The reward offered by Dachai Uchukosolkarm, leader of Phalang Prathed Thai Party, was reported on the Post Today website.
He also said Mr Suthep should not be allowed bail because had instigated political chaos and disrupted the "democratic process", the report said.
“I have already set aside one million baht in cash for the Arintharat unit if they can meet the condition of putting Mr Suthep behind bars,” he said.
Mr Dachai said the tourism industry and the economy in general had been damaged by the prolonged political unrest led by Mr Suthep's PDRC.
