Most of the people are satisfied with the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO)'s policy to reconcile people in society, according to the result of Suan Dusil Poll published on Sunday.
The poll was carried out between Sept 8-13 on 1,534 people throughout the country.
Asked how much they are satisfied by the reconciliation effort, 43.16% said they were satisfied with it and 38.14% very satisfied, while 12.32% said they were a little satisfied and 6.38% not satisfied at all.
Asked to mention concrete signs of reconciliation, the respondents pointed to an end to rallies and raising of demands (83.57%), the people's show of enthusiasts for and participation in it (82.07%), activities to promote reconciliation in all regions (77.57%), and campaigns for Thai people to love each other and unite (70.60%).
Asked to point out signs of conflict remaining in Thai society, the respondents pointed to divisiveness between groups of people (79.99%), attacks and smear campaigns (76.73%), activities by some groups to voice opposition and demands (67.14%) and widespread rumours and fabrications in the social media (63.10%).
