Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen will visit Thailand on Dec 18 and 19 for a joint Thai-Cambodian cabinet meeting and government and business cooperation talks.
The Foreign Ministry announced the details on Monday.
The Cambodian leader will meet Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Friday morning at Government House. Their talk will include the celebration of 65 years of Thai-Cambodian diplomatic relations, cooperation on border development, agricultural produce, trade and investment, enhancement of connectivity, and cooperation in the region.
On Friday afternoon Hun Sen will deliver a speech on investment in Cambodia at the Thailand-Cambodia Business Forum organised by the Thailand-Cambodia Friendship Association and the Foreign Ministry at Dusit Thani Hotel in Bangkok.
Hun Sen will be accompanied by a delegation of Cambodian businessmen who will also attend the meeting.
On Saturday the Thai and Cambodian prime ministers will co-chair the 2nd Thailand-Cambodia Joint Cabinet Retreat (JCR) at Government House. The discussion will focus on ways to enhance cooperation in key areas of mutual interest such as political, economic, social and cultural issues.
They will also witness the signing of four documents:
(1) the Joint Declaration of the 2nd JCR;
(2) a memorandum of understanding on the development of cross-border control facilities, the construction of a border bridge and access roads at Ban Nong Ian in Aranyaprathet district of Sa Kaeo province and Stung Bot area of Poipet city in Cambodia's Banteay Meanchey province;
(3) a memorandum of understanding on labour cooperation, and
(4) an agreement on the employment of workers.
