A majority of people agree to the idea of organising an "attitude adjustment" course for politicians or others who repeatedly express opinions opposed to the National Council for Peace and Order, according to an opinion survey by Suan Dusit Rajabhat University, or Suan Dusit Poll.
The poll was carried out between March 29 and April 2 on 1,229 people throughout the country.
Asked whether they agree to the military inviting people holding different opinions from the NCPO for an "attitude adjustment", a majority, or 59.02%, of the respondents said they supported the military action because too much criticism with personal opinions could confuse the public and lead to misunderstanding; 23.77% disagreed, saying that the military action could cause more tension and conflict; and, 17.21% said they were indifferent to it, saying that those with unconstructive comments would simply be decided by people in society.
Asked to comment on the idea to open a three- or seven-day training course for those holding different opinions from the military, 57.93% agreed to the idea, saying it was a way of promoting understanding; 26.27% disagreed, saying that it would be a waste of time and money; and, 15.30% said they were indifferent regarding this matter.
