South teachers under fire

The bravery and dedication of teachers in the strife-torn southern provinces serves as a great inspiration to society. Despite the near-daily insurgent attacks, teachers in Yala, Narathiwat, and Pattani perform their duties undaunted.

About 20,000 teachers in the deep South go to school every morning without knowing whether they will be able to return home safely in the evening.

Terrific stories except of the blatant copying of the drug, that story does not belong here.

The photo of the teacher escorting the child to school should be made into a poster and shown all over the South and Malaysia.

I fully agree and have nothing but the greatest respect for these dedicated people. Compare them with the lazy self-serving and deeply corrupt politicians in the current government and it should be obvious what needs to be done.
