Under normal circumstances, usually, the defence minister must visit to that area. And, Why the Army calls and gather together the mass-media to the border-line ??

Why the Commander-in-Chief of the Army visits in Si Sa Ket’s Kantharalak not the defence minister ??

'The temple dispute and the maritime dispute in the gulf of Thailand about oil and natural gas reserves are connected'. This must be true because ASTV and The Manager say so over and over.

Just what does it take for 2 countries to jointly manage a magnificent historical heritage site and its environs to the mutual benefit of both? Thailand and Cambodia are like 2 spoiled kids fighting over a toy that they could both use if they were smarter.

RE: D1... why is it an issue? because several years TS said that his interpretation of the situation was that courts had already ruled in favor of Cambodian having control of the temple.
So as Ian in D3 points out it is just another case of "if you are for it, then I am against it"
No sane person thinks that the ICJ's ruling should be ignored or ridiculed. But the PAD is unwilling to listen to anyone.

"The court could look into the matter again only if a new case is filed with it, Mr Sompong said." Actually, he may well be right. The ICJ told Thailand it could appeal only if it provided new evidence. The same should hold for Cambodia.

Problems of access for tourists to this site go a long way back. In the late 90’s I tried several times but it was closed. I did however visit in 2004. It was closed in 2001 and below are a few phrases taken verbatim from a notice photographed at the Thai entrance to the site which typify the petty problems that could not be resolved to allow tourists to enter at that time.
“...the six groups of the Cambodian authorities on Khao Phra Wihan can’t manage the gains from the tourists. These cases may occur to the tourists safe. Beyond the Loggerheads, the Cambodian vendors who have stalls along the path leading to the Pasat. They have poll
