At least one person was killed and two injured in separate bomb attacks at three different restaurants in Muang district of Pattani province on Friday evening, police said.
The first explosion was reported around 7pm at the Sai Ruang restaurant where a Lao waitress, identified only as Muay, was found dead. The restaurant is in Moo 6 of tambon Rusamilae, just behind the Pattani campus of Prince of Songkla University.
The second bomb went off at the Khrua Songkhla restaurant, located about 500 metres from the first explosion site. The third bomb attack was reported at the Ma Ruay restaurant on Na Kluea Road in tambon Bana. It injured two people.
