NARATHIWAT -- A ranger was slightly wounded by a bomb explosion while on patrol in Sungai Kolok district early on Monday, police said.
The attack occurred about 1.45am when a team of eight rangers led by Chief Warrant Officer Theerapong Khwathai, 29, was patrolling along a road at Ban Tuera in tambon Pasemat
Militants hiding in the dark detonated a land mine planted at the foot of a power post in the middle of the road. CWO Theerapong was slightly hurt in the right arm. He was admitted to Sungai Kolok Hospital.
