Buriram United face Bangkok Glass and Nakhon Ratchasima meet Chiang Rai United in the Toyota League Cup semi-finals tonight.

Both games take place at neutral venues in Bangkok and kick off at 7pm.

At Boonyajinda Stadium, runaway Thai League 1 leaders Buriram, who are aiming for a sweep of three domestic titles, are heavy favourites against Bangkok Glass.

While the Thunder Castle are marching towards retaining the league title with four games left, the Glass Rabbits are struggling to stay up in the top flight.

Although Bangkok Glass are 10th in Thai League 1, they are only three points above the relegation zone with five teams going down to the second tier.

Buriram, who has won the League Cup a record four times, are fresh from hammering bitter rivals SCG Muang Thong United 3-1 on Sunday with goals from Korrakot Wiriyaudomsiri, Osvaldo Filho and Yoo Jun-Soo.

Buriram coach Bozidar Bandovic said yesterday: "Although we could win three titles, we will take it one match at a time. We will field our strongest side and hope to reach the final."

Bangkok Glass boss Anurak Srikerd said: "Playing against Buriram is always tough because they are a strong team. But we will do our best to beat them."

The other semi-final between Nakhon Ratchasima and Chiang Rai United will be played at Suphachalasai Stadium.

The League Cup champions will receive five million baht in prize money.

Meanwhile, Port coach Jadet Meelarp has received the backing of club chief Nualphan Lamsam.

There were reports that Jadet would be sacked if Port failed to win in the previous league match.

But Jadet led his men to a 4-0 win over Nakhon Ratchasima and the team remain fourth on 52 points.

They are vying for third place with Muang Thong who have 54 points.

Nualphan said she still believed in Jadet's ability and would continue to support him.
