Sisters Moriya and Ariya Jutanugarn will sign three-year contracts with International Management Group (IMG) this week, their father Somboon said yesterday.
"It's not difficult to make a decision to join IMG," said Somboon. "With their assistance, Moriya and Ariya will be able to focus on playing."
Among Thai golfers who are managed by IMG are Thongchai Jaidee and Chapchai Nirat.
The company began approaching the sisters last year. Moriya, 18, was a co-medallist at the LPGA qualifying school while Ariya, 17, was winner at the Ladies European Tour qualifying school.
Both will begin their professional campaigns in Australia next month and Somboon believes they will do well in their rookie seasons.
"I expect them to make the cut in every tournament and finish in the top 20 on their tours," he said.
"I think Ariya can win tournaments. But she has to hit 10 or 20 yards longer with her driver when she play against European players.
"Moriya will have a more challenging task because the LPGA Tour is tougher."
Somboon will be with Ariya on the LET while his wife Narumol will look after Moriya on the LPGA Tour.
Meanwhile, next year's Thailand Ladies Open will take place in November instead of its normal schedule in February, organisers said yesterday.
The annual tournament was forced to move to a new date because the organisers could not find a venue, said Rae-vadee T. Suwan of the Thailand Ladies Golf Association (Talga).
The November schedule should be an ideal date because several tournaments on the Ladies Asian Golf Tour will be held in the region during that time.
"It would be more convenient for players to travel to the region and play in the Thailand Ladies Open which is an LAGT event," Rae-vadee said.
In the LAGT's tentative schedule, the 26th Thailand Ladies Open will be staged from Nov 22-24 and will be followed by the Indian Open and the Malaysian Open.
The US$150,000 tournament was the LAGT's season-opening last year.
Talga will also host the Thailand Ladies Amateur Open at Riverdale Golf Club in Pathum Thani in March.
