Goals from Memphis Depay after 25 minutes and Jurgen Locadia in the 84th minute finished off the Kirins at SCG Stadium.

SCG striker Teerasil Dangda squandered a couple of chances, while being watched by executives from Spain's Atletico Madrid, who he will now join for a trial.

The Dutch league leaders made a lively start, striker Tim Matavz testing SCG goalkeeper Umarin Yaodum after eight minutes.

Umarin was forced to make several good saves before the home side had chances of their own, Adnan Barakat and Mario Gjurovski both failing to put the ball past PSV goalkeeper Boy Waterman.

After Umarin was beaten by Depay's curling free-kick in the 25th minute, the Thai champions adopted an all-out attacking approach and Thrithi Nonsrichai saw his header cleared off the line by Peter van Ooijen on half-time.

Muang Thong made several changes in the second half, with Teerasil coming on as a substitute, and the Kirins' attack looked more dangerous as they came close to scoring an equaliser on a couple of occasions.

Teerasil's best chance came in the 72nd minute when he beat an offside trap and evaded a defender, only for his shot to be saved by PSV's substitute keeper, Przemyslaw Tyton.

With six minutes left, Locadia beat Muang Thong's first-choice keeper Kawin Thammasatchanant to put the match beyond doubt.

Teerasil, 24, leaves for Spain today for a two-week trial at Europa League champions Atletico Madrid.
