England fullback Delon Armitage was cited on Monday for a dangerous tackle during his side Toulon's 23-3 defeat by fellow French side Montpellier in their European Cup pool match last Saturday.
Montpellier's Jim Nagusa (R) vies with Toulon's Delon Armitage (L) during the European Cup rugby union match Montpellier vs Toulon at the Yves du Manoir stadium on January 19, 2012 in Montpellier, southern France. Armitage was cited on Monday for a dangerous tackle during his side Toulon's 23-3 defeat by fellow French side Montpellier.
The 29-year-old - who has had a poor disciplinary record and was suspended four times alone in 2011 - is alleged to have spear tackled Toulon's Pierre Berard, in the first-half of the game, which saw him sin-binned for the offence by Irish referee Alain Rolland.
