BEC Tero Sasana have sacked coach Stephane Demol and appointed Choketawee Promrut as caretaker boss, the club announced yesterday.
Under the Belgian coach, the Fire Dragons, who beat Bangkok Glass 1-0 on Sunday, performed creditably in the Thai Premier League this season, with four wins, two draws and one defeat.
But general manager Robert Procureur said the club parted company with Demol because the executive board did not like his style of coaching.
"His departure will be good for both sides," Procureur said. "His results were quite pleasing but his style was not entertaining and we have to move in the right direction according to our policy."
Former Thailand international Choketawee will be in charge until BEC appoint a permanent coach, with three or four already targeted, Procureur said.
