World No.5 Ratchanok Intanon on Tuesday pulled out of the Indonesia Open with a right foot injury.
After winning the Thailand Open on Sunday, the 18-year-old shuttler left for Indonesia on Monday to show the organisers there that she was genuinely injured.
"After talking to the doctor, she decided to pull out of the tournament," her manager Kamala Thongkorn said.
Ratchanok suffered a right foot injury a week before the Sudirman Cup in Malaysia late last month.
She considered withdrawing from the Thailand Open but did not want to disappoint her fans.
"The Thailand Open is the only tournament that the fans can see her play competitively in Thailand. So, she decided to play," Kamala said.
"If she had not played in the Thailand Open, she would have been fit enough to play in Indonesia this week."
Ratchanok will wait until Saturday to decide whether she will compete in next week's Singapore Open.
She plans to take a break after the Singapore Open and will resume at the World Championships in Guangzhou in August.
