Bodin Issara's club Granular has sent a letter to the Badminton World Federation (BWF) to offer the governing body their apologies for the player's fist fight with Maneepong Jongjit during the men's doubles final at the Canada Open last Sunday.

In the letter, club president Jane Piyatat also told the BWF they had suspended Bodin without pay until the end of the year.
"We would like to apologise to the BWF, Badminton Canada, sponsors and fans for the embarrassing incident," the letter said.
"Please do accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience you may have experienced.
"We have taken steps to ensure that Mr Bodin and his behaviour will become an important lesson for himself and other players.
"We have decided to suspend him from all domestic and overseas competitions for the rest of 2013. During the period, he will not receive salary and other benefits from the club. He will also coach junior players as a community service."
Bodin admitted he had made a mistake and is ready to accept any punishment from the BWF and Badminton Association of Thailand (BAT), the letter said.
In an interview, Jane said Bodin had tried to contact Maneepong to apologise to him in public but he did not get any co-operation from his former playing partner.
"We have tried to put an end to the matter but the other side only blames us for the incident," Jane said.
The BAT will hold a meeting today to listen to information from all concerned parties.
Sunday's brawl began at the end of the first set, won by Maneepong and his partner Nipitphon Puangpuapech, following a war of words between Bodin and Maneepong.
Bodin and partner Pakkawat Vilailak were disqualified after the brawl.
The BWF has charged Bodin and Maneepong for misconduct and they have until Tuesday evening to answer the charges in written statements.
Both players face charges of inappropriate conduct, oral abuse and unsportsmanlike conduct. Bodin faces additional charges of physical abuse and conduct contrary to the integrity of the game.
If found guilty, they could face bans, suspensions or fines.
The two were partners and considered Thailand's best men's doubles pair. They reached the quarter-finals at the 2012 Olympics and split earlier this year.
