Thailand's leading boutique airline Bangkok Airways made head turns at Suvarnabhumi Airport last Thursday when the airline organised a stunning flash mob to debut its new uniforms.

The presentation saw more than 50 staff members dancing in front of the airline's check-in counter at the Departure Hall to the hand-clapping and cheerful smiles of all departing passengers and onlookers.
"We organised the flash mob to make the transformation of our boutique uniforms for front-line staff more exciting to passengers," said ML Nandhika Varavarn, vice-president of corporate communications of Bangkok Airways. "This is the first time the airline industry and also Suvarnabhumi Airport has seen more than 50 airline staff dancing in the departure hall."
Designed by Polpat Asavaprapha, one of the top Thai designers and the creative head behind the Asava brand, the new uniforms were first launched during Bangkok Fashion Week last year. This new set of uniforms will replace the old uniforms that have used by the airline for the past 15 years.
According to the designer, blue stripes painted on the aircraft are one of the carrier's identities, so the new uniforms use a striped pattern with shades of blue and turquoise. Silk-poly fabric has been chosen to give a feeling of lightness and comfort to the person wearing it.
The uniform for men, in grey and blue with painted cobalt stripes on the shirt, emphasises luxury, in a smart yet informal look. This is to express the identity of Bangkok Airways as a leisure airline.
The same day also saw the airline launching its brand-new safety demonstration video onboard.
