A former crown prince of Nepal has been ordered to report to police again next month after being bailed to fight charges on possession of marijuana.
The Phuket court on Thursday agreed to Chueng Thale police's request to continue bail for Paras Shah instead of keeping him in detention, Thai Rath reports.
The former crown prince reported to police on Thursday as a condition after his bail was granted last month.
The police set Dec 11 for the 41-year-old prince to report to them.
Mr Shah, who as crown prince was unpopular for his playboy lifestyle, was detained along with a Thai woman on Oct 23 after the management of his condominium in Thalang district, Phuket, complained about his unruly behaviour.
Police found roughly three grams of marijuana.
Shah was released on bail of 10,000 baht after spending a night in jail.
"We didn't know who he was when he was first arrested because he had a normal passport, nothing identifying him as a VIP," Pol Col Jirasak Siemsak of the Chueng Thale police station told AFP.
The woman confessed to the police but the former crown prince decided to fight the charge.
Mr Shah became heir to the throne in 2001 after his cousin, former crown prince Dipendra, killed nine members of his family including the king and queen in a drink-and-drugs-fuelled rampage before apparently turning his gun on himself.
Nepal abolished its monarchy in 2008.
