Phuket police are hunting a former business associate of a Hungarian man who was murdered and his body found in a plastic bag.
On Wednesday, police forensic specialists took samples of blood stains from inside a two storey townhouse in tambon Vichit of Muang district which might be linked to the murder of Peter Reisz, a 47-year-old Hungarian businessman. Reisz's body was found dumped inside a plastic bag at a rubber plantation in Kathu district on Nov 30.
Police said the victim moved to Phuket province from Samui island in Surat Thani province after a dispute with his business partner.
On Monday police obtained a court warrant for Moshe David, 38, an Israeli-Hungarian dual national, for murder.
Police said that Reisz allegedly forged Mr Moshe's signature on a land deal in Samui worth 15 million baht, and this could be the motive for the murder.
Investigators said the house was rented out to Mr David on Nov 23 and 24 for 4,000 baht. His car was also seen entering and exiting the premises on CCTV camera footage.
Police believed that at least two men took part in the murder. Blood spatters were found at seven locations inside the house - including the living room, kitchen and bathroom. The blood analysis was expected to yield a result within a month.
Police were hunting Mr David. There was an unconfirmed report he had been apprehended in Bangkok.
