A Bangkok taxi driver on Sunday returned a bag containing three million baht to operators of a cash-in-transit truck who dropped the money on Rama III Road.

Pongsin Jirakulthavornpat told Jor Sor 100, a popular army-owned traffic radio station, he was driving on the road alone at about 2am when he hit a money bag stuffed with money.
He picked it up and then alerted the radio station to find the owner of the money.
AT 6AM, security staff on a cash-in-transit truck owned by Brink's (Thailand) Ltd filed a complaint with Bukkalo Police Station, saying they had lost one of 27 money bags, which carried in total 53 million baht, when they were transporting the money to fill ATM machines of Siam Commercial Bank in the Thon Buri area.
Tossaporn Rewnak, the team leader of the truck, said he and his colleagues were alerted by a motorcycle rider near Krungdhon 1 Hospital on Taksin Road that one of the two doors at the back of the truck was open.
The staff stopped the vehicle and found a key was left in the lock of the door that was swung open. They then counted the money bags and found one had gone missing, Mr Tossaporn added.
Mr Pongsin said he used to work as a bank employee and he knew right away that the money in such a familiar suitcase was supposed to be transported to cash dispensers. He said he decided to return the money because he knew the owner of the bag must have been worried and was looking for it.
