Pump prices up Friday

PTT Plc and Bangchak Plc will increase prices of petrol and all kinds of gasohol except E85 by 0.50 baht per litre effective from 5am on Friday, Jan 4.

The price of gasohol E85 will go up by 0.30 baht per litre. Diesel will remain unchanged.

Pump prices per litre in Bangkok and nearby provinces from tomorrow will be as follows: petrol 91 - 44.25 baht, gasohol 95 -  38.33 baht, gasohol 91 - 35.88 baht, gasohol E20 - 32.88 baht, gasohol E85 - 21.98 baht, and diesel - 29.79 baht.

PTT Plc said the price of crude oil is likely to go up this week after the United States Congress approved a bill to avert the US "fiscal cliff" of tax hikes and drastic, immediate cuts in spending, thus boosting investor confidence.

Others factors to push up the crude oil prices include the political situation in Iraq and protracted fighting in Syria.
