PATTAYA - More than 10 couples, mostly foreigners, were caught Sunday trying to flee a swingers' party after police raided a resort in Bang Lamung district.
Officers received a tip-off that a swingers' party was being held every Saturday night at Rama Kien Resort.
Officers raided the resort and found more than 20 partially clothed men and women, both Thai and foreign nationals. Some were wearing only a towel.
Police said the suspects tried to escape during the raid, but were rounded up and questioned before being released.
Officers found 25 used condoms and sex toys as well as a copy of an invitation to the swingers' party.
Anthony Verloop, a 61-year-old Dutch national, and Thai woman Kannikar Karnkhai, 42, allegedly admitted to running the resort, advertised online as a nudist retreat.
The couple hosted regular swinging parties, police said, charging a 23,000 baht membership fee. The pair were charged with providing an indecent or immoral service.
