A fire raged at a gas-fired power plant being constructed in Rojana Industrial Park in Ayutthaya yesterday, causing about 10 million baht in damage.
About 10 workers were treated for smoke inhalation but are now in stable condition.
The blaze erupted about 3.30pm at the second plant of Rojana Power Co, prompting almost 300 construction workers and 30 Japanese engineers to flee the building.
The fire was under control by 5pm.
The plant, if completed, will have a power generating capacity of 289 megawatts to supply to the industrial estate.
