Line app message led to drug bust

Police traced a text message from a convicted drug dealer and were able to arrested four suspects and seize about 30,000 methamphetamine pills and four kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamine at their hideout, a Post Today report said.

Suwan Kraho, Naphassorn Wattana-Hiraphong, Thitiwat Nonthapoo and Sethawuth Leelalai were arrested after the jailed drug dealer contacted them via the popular Line smartphone application.

The message from the convict, serving time in Nakhon Ratchasima prison, was for the group to pick up the drugs from a certain location and hide them in Suwan's home.

The raid at the suspects' hideout in Samut Prakan province led to two other raids, on houses in Samut Prakan and Bangkok.

A total of 29,800 speed pills, four kilogrammes of crystal meth, four firearms, 800 rounds of ammunition, two motorcycles, six mobile phones and computer tablets, 22 bank books and 12 ATM cards were seized in the raids, Post Today reported.
