Big appeal for little dog

NAKHON RATCHASIMA - The owner of a local advertising agency has taken down the banner he uses to promote businesses and replaced it with an appeal for his missing dog.

"I've decided to stop taking [other orders] and to put up the banner for 'Mu Tu'," said Pun Nilnaowarat, the owner of Inventive.

Mr Pun can earn up to 20,000 baht a month from clients wanting to promote their products on the 5x8 metre banner on space owned by his business in downtown Nakhon Ratchasima. But earning money has taken second place to finding his six-year-old Shih Tzu, he said on Saturday.

The pet, who has been with the family since he was a puppy, has been missing for two weeks. The disappearance came at a bad time as Mu Tu's partner, Kheng, has just delivered five puppies.

Mr Pun says he doesn't want the puppies to grow up without their father.

He said Mu Tu was more than just part of his family. "He is a mascot for the shop" and is very friendly to all the customers, he added.
