He just can't keep away Tearaway Taiwanese model and singer Howard Wang, above, is likely to be thrown out of the country again after his former girlfriend laid a house break-in complaint with police.

Immigration police arrested Howard, 28, outside a department store on Rama IX Road on Tuesday on charges of sneaking in to the kingdom despite being banned.

Howard, former lead singer of the teen band Giant, was deported from the country on March 21.

The Criminal Court last year convicted Howard of assault, possession of marijuana and taking speed.

Immigration authorities, who say one criminal conviction alone is enough to have someone ejected and put on a blacklist, decided he had outstayed his welcome.

They deported him to his native Taiwan, but say that unknown to them, Howard slipped back in to the country early this month to attend his former girlfriend's birthday party.

They were tipped off to his presence in Bangkok, under a new name and with a new passport, after his ex-love laid a complaint with police saying he had broken in to her home to deliver her birthday present.

A teary Howard has spent most of the past week in detention at immigration headquarters at Suan Phlu, Lat Phrao police station, and most recently Khlong Prem prison.

Authorities are processing his new deportation papers, as a court also prepares to hear the case brought by his ex-girlfriend, model Amolwan "Amie" Sirikitrat, who now regrets causing him so much trouble.

Amie told Lat Phrao police on Monday that Howard broke into her townhouse and wrote an anguished message in blood on the veranda.

Howard, who admits breaking in, said he turned up at her townhouse early on April 17 to deliver a birthday gift, a bikini, from Taiwan.

When no one answered the door, he scaled the wall of the three-storey townhouse and smashed a window with his elbow to let himself in.

Howard found no one there, however, as Amie was sleeping the night somewhere else.

Howard, who hurt himself while breaking in, left a message in blood, saying: "I love you, but you don't."

He said he broke in because he suspected Amie was sleeping with someone else. He did not intend to steal anything or do anyone any harm.

Amie said she alerted police because she wanted to teach Howard a lesson.

Earlier, he sent her hostile text messages and his mother, who also lives in Bangkok, accused her of seeing her son merely to leach off his fame.

"I have a career of my own, after I was crowned Miss Maxim last year," Amie said.

"Howard called me a prostitute, which I cannot accept."

She said the couple were together for about two years, but started growing apart owing to lifestyle differences. "I like going to the temple, while he prefers parties," she said.

"When I met him on the internet, I didn't know he was already seeing someone else," she added, referring to Howard's former love, ex-model Pilawan "Muay" Ahreerob.

Howard came under police scrutiny early last year in an abortion case, after Muay admitted terminating her pregnancy at a city clinic. She said Howard and his mum pressured her into having the illegal abortion.

Amie, who said Howard inflicts physical harm on himself when the pair fall out, said she stuck by the model, as she is drawn to handsome types.

"He's like a child. He says he's prepared to suffer pain so I can be spared," she said.

Amie reunited with Howard at Lat Phrao police station on Thursday. The two shared a hug and shed tears.

"I had to shed so much blood to leave that message," Howard told Amie sadly.

Amie, who has rarely been out of the public spotlight since the drama unfolded, said she has torn feelings towards her former love.

"I knew Howard was taking drugs, and tried to warn him off them," she told a TV show the next day.

She said she is sorry her police complaint is now likely to result in Howard's expulsion. His mother, Julie Chu, on Friday visited the Immigration Department to plead her son's case. She said she now finds it hard to talk to Amie.

Immigration officials say that despite knowing he was banned from re-entering the country, Howard changed his name to Wang Liang Jing and obtained a new passport. He returned to Bangkok on a late-night flight on April 12, arriving on a 60-day tourist visa.

Howard, who says he changed his name on the advice of a fortune-teller rather than to evade the law, denies flouting the ban. A court has denied him bail.

Immigration police say they will expel him once his break-in court case is decided. The re-entry ban applies for five years.

Cee loses his mum Actor Siwat "Cee" Chottichaicharin says he is getting over the sudden loss of his mother, who died from knee surgery complications at Bangkok Christian Hospital last week.

Cee's mother, Suwanee, died on April 20 after going into shock when doctors gave her an anaesthetic before her operation.

She developed a blood clot, and doctors had to pump her heart to keep her alive.

At about midnight, she developed another clot, but doctors were unable to save her. Doctors gave Cee the bad news at about 6am.

Cee said his mother's death was particularly hard to take as it occurred on the anniversary of his father's death, 14 years earlier. Cee, 31, is one of three children.

However, rather than seeking recriminations against the hospital, Cee said he would rather just let the matter be.

Speaking at his mother's bathing rites last week, Cee said his mother's knee had given her discomfort for some time.

"She took physical therapy, but it didn't relieve the pain. An X-ray showed that she had fractured the bone.

"Before the operation, she had a health check and everything was fine," he told reporters. Suwanee was 60.

"It's not something we have to think too much about, as I don't want Mum to worry. No one is to blame. Nothing can bring her back, and I would like Mum to go peacefully.

"As for an autopsy, I know my mum well and she would not want to leave us that way," he said.

Cee's girlfriend, actress Amika "Amie" Klinpratum, said she would miss Suwanee's hugs.

"Thank you for loving me as your daughter, and letting me into your family. You looked after me, and worried about me just like one of your own. I will remember all your instruction and advice to me, mama," she wrote on Instagram.

Suwanee is being cremated today.

Not just another Ploy Feisty actress Chermarn "Ploy" Boonyasak says she is getting over the break-up of her three-year relationship to actor Navin "Tar" Yavapolkul.

Revealing news last week of their parting, the actress said their lifestyles were too far apart to make it work.

She won't go into further detail, as she said it's personal. But she said if reporters expect her to sit around shedding tears, they will be disappointed.

"I stopped seeing him about two months ago, and everything's OK now. We agreed that it would be better to end it," she said.

"Of course I'm sad and disappointed. But life has to carry on. If two people do not express it openly, it doesn't mean they are not feeling it."

She played down reports that Tar has stopped following her on Instagram.

The pair travelled to South Korea for a break last month, but have seldom been seen together since. Ploy, complaining of a sinus infection, fainted several times before their trip. She and Tar celebrated Songkran separately.

Tar has said little since news of the split emerged, preferring to leave soulful messages on Instagram, such as: "It's our friends and family who are always there no matter what happens to us ..."

Ploy won't comment on reports that Tar's family went off her after she created one too many public dramas with her fiery temper.

Tar stuck by Ploy during her recent illness, when critics accused her of faking the faints. He also played down her feisty departure from a city hospital function last October, when Ploy was filmed throwing her manager and other staff out of a lift.

He was also there for her during her tax dramas in September last year. Ploy called an event organiser a "mangy, foul-mouthed dog" in a dispute over an unpaid appearance fee which triggered a Revenue Department inquiry into her taxes.
