Three people were killed and another injured in four separate attacks in the violence-plagued deep South since Saturday night.
Another new spokesman emerged for the Barisan Revolusi Nasional (BRN). Adam Muhammad Noor is described in a YouTube propaganda video as a "staff vice-delegate" of the group, sent to explain further the five demands of the BRN made on April 29.
Pol Lt Montri Janmuang, a duty officer at Rueso police station in Narathiwat province, said he received a report that a farmer had been shot dead in a rubber plantation on Sunday morning.
A team of police sent to the scene found the body of Timoh Pohma, 44. She was shot in the chest.
Investigators said the woman was travelling to work on her motorcycle. A gunman hiding along the roadside shot her as she arrived at the plantation.
Police blamed insurgents.

In Pattani, a 50-year-old coconut farmer was critically injured in a drive-by shooting on Sunday morning.
Pol Maj Suthep Chansidam, chief inspector of Rata Panyang police station, said Ahmad Ni-o was shot in the shoulder by an unidentified gunman on a motorcycle. The shooting happened when Mr Ahmad was riding his motorbike to work at a coconut farm.
The gunman fled after the attack.
Mr Ahmad was taken to Yaring hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
Police said the attack might have been carried out by an insurgent, but it could have stemmed from a personal conflict.
On Saturday night, a civilian was killed and another injured by two drive-by shootings in Yarang district, Pattani.
Police said Mahmoud Juesae, 26, was shot by two gunmen on a motorcycle while he was sitting outside Santi Wittaya school at 8pm.
Mr Mahmoud remains in critical condition.
At 8.15pm, another drive-by shooting took place. Ardae Mahma, 40, was shot dead while he was driving his pickup truck from Yarang to Nong Jik district.
Police are investigating whether the two drive-by shootings were carried out by the same assailants.
Meanwhile, a new spokesman has emerged for the Barisan Revolusi Nasional (BRN) separatist movement. Adam Muhammad Noor, described as a "staff vice-delegate" of the group, appeared in a new BRN propaganda video released on YouTube on Friday.
Mr Noor reiterated the five demands of the BRN made public on April 29 by the peace talk leader Hassan Taib.
He repeated demands that Malaysia serve as a mediator, rather than facilitator, of peace talks, and called again for the presence of observers from Asean, the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and non-government groups.
He concluded that the continuing conflict in the far South stemmed from "colonial rule" in Patani.
"Is it wrong that the Patani Malay are protecting themselves from the threats of Siam?"
"Patani" is the separatists' word for the region covering Thailand's four southernmost provinces.
