The new Mountain Dew comes in a unique neon bottle, aiming at creating an exciting phenomenon in the Thai flavoured carbonated soft drink market, which was worth 13 billion baht last year, according to data from Nielsen.
Steve Romasanta, marketing director of PepsiCo Asia Pacific, said Mountain Dew is one of the world's most popular beverage brands, with a strong position in many countries worldwide including the United States where it is the No.1 flavoured soft drink brand.
In some countries such as Pakistan, sales of Mountain Dew is about the same as the Pepsi brand.
Mountain Dew aims to capture the trendy Thai youth fan base. It is available in both modern and traditional trade channels nationwide.
The launch of Mountain Dew is considered a great leap forward for PepsiCo in Thailand.
"Mountain Dew is sure to receive a good market response here as it did countless in markets where PepsiCo operates," Mr Romasanta added.
