Nok Air flight slides off runway

A Nok Air flight slid off the runway at Udon Thani airport on Sunday morning. There were no reports of any injuries.

Reports said Nok Air flight DD-8610 from Chiang Mai to Udon Thani skidded off the runway after it landed at 8.45am.

All 25 passengers and three crew members on board were safe.

Officials are investigating the cause of the incident.

Nok Air said the aircraft is a SAAB 340B turboprop chartered by Siam General Aviation Company Ltd, which is known as Nok Mini.

The airline blamed "a glitch in the engine" but gave no other details.

On Aug 6, a Bangkok-bound Nok Air flight suffered a runway accident at Trang airport while preparing for takeoff. There were no injuries.
