Wanning: Ten Thai players earned China LPGA Tour cards at the end of the qualifying tournament yesterday.

They include Kultida Pramphan, Patcharajutar Kongkraphan, Nontaya Srisawang and Arpichaya Yubol.

Kultida was the best Thai performer at Shenzhou Golf Club where she finished joint second along with Japanese duo Natsumi Nakanishi and Riri Sadoyama on 278.

They were one shot behind Chinese amateur Yin Ruoning.

Yin showed the pros how it was done when the Shanghai amateur topped the graduating class for the 2020 season.

The 18-year-old closed with an even-par 72 for a 72-hole score of 11-under 277 to earn one of the 30 full-time playing cards on offer for the upcoming CLPGA Tour season.

Overnight leader Kultida shot a 74 while former LPGA Tour regular Patcharajutar hit a 70 to stay joint fifth with Japanese Mana Shinozaki (73) on 280.

Young Indian star Ridhima Dilawari was seventh on 281 after closing with a 69.

Yin said: "I am glad to be the leader of the CLPGA qualifying tournament, but I am not very satisfied with my game today because I should have been better if I didn't make those three bogeys," said Ying, a national team player, who helped China to the team bronze at the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.

"Maybe I will turn pro after the 2020 Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship and Blue Bay Masters but not now."

Kultida lamented a missed opportunity to win her second tournament since turning pro last year.

"I did not play very well today," said the 19-year-old from Pathum Thani. "But I am still happy that I can play on the CLPGA Tour this year. I'm already looking forward to my first tournament."

Patcharajutar, who is back in Asia full-time after losing her LPGA Tour card, is enthusiastic about playing in China.

"Happily, it's over now because I was so tired. I tried my best to focus on my game in the final round so I lost so much of my energy today," said the player, known as 'PK', who won four times on the CLPGA Tour between 2010-2011.

"I had a lot of happy moments with my fellow players and I am very excited to come back. My aim this year is to win one or two CLPGA tournaments."
