Futuristic racing game Distance, with its neon oranges and blues, flying cars, and mid-air stunts is set for a nail-biting photo-finish as its 30-day development fundraiser draws to an end, with a new trailer issued to help push it over the line.

The game carries on where its prototypic predecessor Nitronic Rush left off, which is no bad thing indeed.
Nitronic Rush, available as a free single-player download, is a multiple award winner, with commendations from the Indie Game Challenge, Independent Propellor Awards and Independent Games Festival earlier this year.
It's not the first time that a team from DigiPen Institute of Technology has caught the eye -- 2006's Narbacular Drop eventually became Portal and designer Kim Swift assisted with Left 4 Dead and was instrumental in the development of Quantum Conundrum; another title, Tag, re-emerged as Portal 2.
As well as considerably improved graphics and compatibility with Windows, Mac and Linux computers, Distance sports various multiplayer modes, a level editor, and secrets tucked away within its labyrinthine cityscape.
With just a few days remaining until the November 16 deadline, Distance requires a final push from Kickstarter backers to make bank at $125,000 -- on November 11, at $100,000 raised, tracking site KickTraq saw it ending at $116k, but by November 12 the project was at $113k with a $124k end in sight, anticipating last-minute rush of donations to take it over the line.
