Following its June 25 release, strategy game "Company of Heroes 2" lands at first place on the Steam Network chart by Monday, July 1, and fourth on GameStop's Impulse chart, where "The Sims 3 Starter Pack" is number one.

New releases "Deadpool" (featuring Marvel's anti-hero protagonist), "Rogue Legacy" (a randomly generated twist on classics "Castlevania" and "Ghouls 'n Ghosts") and a revamped pre-release beta for military sim "Arma III" also chart high on Steam.
"Company of Heroes 2," whose historical, bird's-eye-view action takes place on the European Eastern Front of World War II, also charted on GamersGate, a retailer known for its strategy genre leanings, but in seventh place, while the testing action-oriented "Dark Souls" leapt back into first.
GOG's summer sale, which runs until July 5 and features games free of copy-protection measures, meant that a clutch of cherished titles appeared once more in its top-sellers list.
