Sammitr Smart Mobility is promoting Sammitr Smart Drive service, offering around-the-clock on-demand tourism car rentals for foreign visitors and tourists.

Patcharin Posirisuk, the company's chief executive, said the services, which launched a few years ago, are available in 38 provinces within a 450-kilometre radius of Bangkok.

She said Sammitr Smart Drive offers three main services: point-to-point transfer service between airports and hotels, pin-and-go service for customised destinations, and one-day trip programmes.

The company is a unit of Sammitr Group Holdings, which has a range of businesses such as trucks and trailers, pickup conversion and parts supply.

Ms Patcharin said Sammitr Smart Drive owns a fleet of 30 Toyota Hilux Revo cars for rental services.

Since the launch in 2016, Sammitr Smart Mobility has seen 300-500 clients a month. Thais have made up 70%, mostly from corporations and travellers associated with Mice (meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions).

Other customer segments include younger and female travellers who have heavy or large belongings such as suitcases, as well as independent travellers from China and Europe.

Next year, the company plans to launch the One Siam-Smart Hop campaign that connects tourists to luxury department stores and Iconsiam, where it already has a service counter.

Suwanna Vongsurakrai, Sammitr Smart Drive's chief of strategy, said the company already has a partnership with Mice-related organisations such as the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau to provide services during meeting periods and for travel after work.

She said the most popular tourist destinations for Mice travellers are Bangkok, Nakhon Pathom, Nonthaburi, Ayutthaya and Nakhon Nayok.

The company will continue into the second phase next year, expanding the service to cover areas in the North, before enlarging service areas nationwide in the next five years with a fleet of more than 1,000 vehicles.

Sammitr Smart Drive expects to earn 10 million baht in income this year and 20 million next year, Ms Suwanna said.
